Linda J. Sallop, J.D.
Linda is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Sallop Insurance Agency, Inc., a commercial lines insurance brokerage with annual sales of more than $70 Million. Linda became the owner of the agency in 1984, and built it from a 2-person, $2 Million in sales business to the successful entity it is today. The agency specializes in large commercial health care orientated accounts such as the long term care industry, organ and tissue bank organizations, infertility clinics and the like. Under Linda’s leadership the agency has built a reputation for its technical expertise in these areas, particularly insofar as policy design, risk management, self-insurance and alternative risk solutions.
Linda Sallop is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Charter Insurance Group, a Massachusetts domiciled property and casualty group of insurers specializing in the field of workers’ compensation. Charter is one of the top twenty-five largest property/casualty insurers in Massachusetts with annual revenue in excess of $50 Million and surplus of approximately $60 Million.
For the past 4 years Linda has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of the top 100 Women Led Businesses in Massachusetts. She serves on the Board of Trustees for the Insurance Library Association of Boston. She is a member of the Governing Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau of Massachusetts.
Linda holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Barnard College and a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
Gina M. Matarazzo, Vice President, Sallop Insurance Agency
Gina began her career at Sallop in 1988. Under the leadership of Linda Sallop, Gina employed several innovative and leading practices to place many difficult and challenging commercial risks. In her nearly twenty years with Sallop, she has established a reputation of excellence evidenced by the exceptional retention and growth of her business.
Gina specializes in large commercial healthcare accounts and has developed coverages specific to the unique needs of organizations such as organ and tissue banks, medical device manufacturers, and tissue processors. Her expertise in mitigating and financing risk in policy design, risk management, self-insurance and alternative risk solutions brings exceptional value to any client partnership.
Gina holds an Associate Degree from Bunker Hill Community College and participates in the Executive Leadership Development Program and Advanced Leadership program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Elizabeth Finn-Elder, CPCU, Vice President
Elizabeth began her career in 1992 exclusively underwriting commercial lines to the extended care industry. With a strong desire to bring expertise to her clients, she pursued her insurance broker’s license as well as the rigorous educational endeavor to obtain her Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation which she received in 1997.
Elizabeth brings Sallop a unique expertise as an underwriter and risk manager in many areas of healthcare including; Extended Care, Sub-acute Care, Home Health, and Assisted Living. In addition to being published in several trade journals and periodicals, Elizabeth frequently presents at Sallop’s educational seminars, which target a variety of audiences from law firms to insureds involved in the healthcare industry.
With a wealth of experience, Elizabeth is able to provide to her clients risk mitigation techniques, liability claims analysis, special risk underwriting, and assistance in creating alternative risk transfer programs including the use of off-shore captive insurance companies.
Elizabeth holds a BA from Boston College.
Christine Mizzi, a 1993 graduate of Wake Forest University, began her career with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies where she quickly rose thru the underwriting ranks taking on more responsibility with each advancement. Joining Sallop in 2006, along with Christine’s management responsibities, she is an integral part of the new business development team, focusing on coverage analysis and solutions for clients.
Christine Fenderson, a 1995 graduate of Keene State College, holds degrees in both management and occupational safety. She began her career working in loss prevention, moving into accident prevention consulting before joining Sallop in 2000 as Director of Health and Safety working exclusively on one of Sallops premier clients, Five Star Quality Care, Inc, a 153 facility assisted living and skilled nursing care company.
Kimberly A. Wilson, CPCU, ARM, holds a BS degree from Boston College and an MBA from Salem State College, has almost twenty years experience in the property casualty insurance industry. With an extensive knowledge across all lines of coverage, she has successfully worked with a variety of clients across multiple industries. Her current focus is the healthcare market, specifically on the professional liability needs of the organ and tissue field as well as the blood banking business.
Kathy Ludka, CIC, brings 30 years of experience to her clients at Sallop. She has been a member of the Sallop team since 2000 specializing in extended care program account management. In this role, Kathy provides insurance placement assistance and risk management to clients ranging from multi-location skilled care providers, single location assisted living operators, and urban home health care providers. Kathy also advises clients in many aspects of their operations to minimize and control risk.
